Over 5000 people saw performances of the “Golden province” festival

On April 14th, 2019, the closing ceremony of VIII International theatrical festival “Golden province” was held in Penza regional drama theatre.

The festival was being closed by Perm’s “By the bridge” theatre with “The Inspector General” play by N.V. Gogol. Before the play the participants of the festival and spectators had been greeted by the Minister of culture and tourism of Penza region Tatyana Kurdova.

“Golden province” is a new breath, place where ideas and projects emerge. During the festival’s week spectators were inspired with the atmosphere of festivity, characters’ emotions and raptures over the brilliant performance of actors” – marked the Minister.

The audience had also been addressed by a theatrical critic, senior editor of “Strastnoy boulevard” journal Anastasia Efremova and the artistic director and the chairman of the board of “Golden province” Natalya Tyoskina.

Upon the jury’s decision the Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to Perm’s “By the bridge” theatre for “The Inspector General”.

VIII International theatrical festival “Golden province” was being held from the 8th to 14th of April of 2019 at the stages of Penza drama theatre, regional “Puppet house” theatre, children’s theatres of Penza, Zarechny and Kuznetsk. 12 professional theatres from Penza, Kurgan, Perm, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, as well as theatrical groups from Germany and Georgia performed 23 plays attended by 5000 spectators.
