Famous Spanish organist Julian Bewig performed in Penza

«Penza Fest» continues familiarizing Penza’s citizens with distinguished Russian and foreign organists of the present time. Another concert in the framework of IV Festival of Organ Music took place on April 11th. The organ hall of the philharmonic hall welcomed a famous Spanish musician, main organist of the “Sacred Angel” Cathedral in Valencia, Julian Bewig.

He is an award winner of many contests of organists in Germany, France and the Netherlands. He is often on tour around Europe, the USA and Australia. The musician combines a teaching career in Cologne Higher School of Music as a guest professor with the position of the main organist at the “Sacred Angel” Cathedral.

At «Penza Fest» Bewig performed well-known compositions by J. Bach, M. Dupre, J. Reubke, L. Vierne and D. Buxtehude.

«Penza Fest» is approaching its ending. On April 15th there will be a closing ceremony of IV Open Festival of Organ Music. The final chord of the musical marathon will be a concert program performed by eminent Russian organists Daniel Zaretsky (Saint-Petersburg) and Taras Bagints (Ekaterinburg).
