‘The Revolt’ Mosaics
Address:Penza, street Moscow, 56
The large-size mosaics depicting the peasant revolt can be seen from afar. The mosaics depict a peasant armed with the club running towards the viewer. This is a reminder of brutally supressed peasant revolt of 1861 in villages Kandievka, Chernogay and several others. The mosaics was created by the Moscow artist M.A. Trunkov and installed in 1974.
