‘Dove of Peace’ Monument
Address:Penza, Mira str., 15A
Dove has become the symbol of peace after the end of World War II and is closely associated with the activities of the World Peace Congress, later World Peace Council. The emblem for the first congress was drawn by Pablo Picasso. It depicted a white dove carrying an olive branch. Since that time, white doves are the symbols of peace and peaceful intentions. The monument in Penza was opened in 1965, in the Mira Street.
