A.S. Pushkin Monument
The small bust dedicated to the famous Russian poet was erected in the square bearing his name in 1950. It is sculpted from granite and sits on a four-sided plinth. The face is executed in a generalized manner and that makes the lines of the face softer, lending to it the expression of dreaminess and inspiration. The monument is the annual meeting place for poets and poetry lovers, who come to the Pushkin park on the poet’s birthday on the 6th of June.
