Bakhmetievs-Obolenskys estate

The house was built by the owner and manager of the Nikolsk-Bahkmetiev factory of crystal and glassware in the end of the 18th c. It is a two-storey building in the style of Russian neo-classicism. 
The Bakhemetievs-Obolenskys were an aristocratic family connected with other noble families of Russia, many of whom visited the estate: Princes Trubetskoys, the Gorchakovs, the Volkonskys, the Obolenskys, the Tolstoys. The house was also a popular place of visit of Russian musical and artistic elite.
